Stupid holiday

Just wanted to buy some stuff to eat but the market was closed, now I look up if it's any holiday today and I see it's Corpus Christi.


So displeasing.

I don't even know what that is but I have no work tomorrow because of some holiday D: next week has friday off too.

You Canadians are wierd. No Holidays for us Americans. Just work work work work and more work.

Next day off isn't until July 4th.

It's a Catholic holiday related to eucharistia. In Germany stately recognised holidays and sundays enjoy federal constitutional protection as resting days.
In my home state Hessen Corpus Christi is stately recognised and set to be today, thus work is off, so the markets are closed.

It's not bad at all though, I just looked through freezer and larder, found me some nice vegetables which I cooked in a bit of wine and enriched with balsamico and various herbs aswell as boiled me some rice. Much better than what I probably would have got otherwise.

I added a bit to the water in which the rice boiled, otherwise nothing.


I don't really need salt. I even eat pommes frites without anything and like it.
