the forums were a tiny bit slow when starting up, but after going through 2-3 pages they picked up a lot of speed.

Right now posting is really slow, but browsing seems fine to me right now.
Posting new threads or doing replies with the full editor page, quick replies seems ok...

I do not notice any posting lag what so ever.

Seems random, when I posted the thread explaining the problem it took about 15 seconds to post.

That is quite odd, maybe it was because you yourself are the hoster, while im just on the server itself. (do not know too much about the technical side of running a website this big)

Nope D: when I'm browsing the forum it's the exact same as you, except I have buttons to ban people and do fancy things.

Ahh, admin controls, that might explain your lag then, couldn't you tinker with any of the buttons to make them smaller and less lag inducing? Or cover them up so they don't pop up unless you actually need them?
