The Arka Teks are an ECMA nominated and two time MusicNB award winning electro group who work to produce a unique blend of electronic/club music.
Hailing from New Brunswick, the group consists of Producer/Songwriter Nick Fowler and Singer/Songwriter Tyler Lombard, and Drummer Ryan Eatman.
The two founding members actually came from opposite ends of the musical scale; Fowler created his foundation on electro-house music, glitchy intelligent dance music, and electronic dance music, while Lombard works mainly with acoustic guitars, folk lyrics and harmonic vocals.
This combination of two extremes gives The Arka Teks the capability of scaling almost any genre of music. So far their songs have encompassed elements of House, Electro, IDM, Dubstep, Heavy Metal and more.
Their Debut CD Night Life (released in July '10) won two MusicNB awards in 2010; Urban/Electronic Album of the Year, and Fans Choice and has also been nominated for an ECMA award. This album has been making waves not only in the east coast but across the globe. Having secured a distribution deal in Singapore and Malaysia with EQ Music TAT continues to sell thousands of albums worldwide.
One of the defining aspects of The Arka Teks is their commitment to their fans. They take their worldwide fanbase very seriously and place great value in keeping them happy. Whether it is simply chatting with them on a day-to-day basis, or allowing them to take part in the music creation process, The Arka Teks keep their fans conected on many levels. A great example of this is the track Celebration which appears on Night Life. For this track TAT asked their fans to send in recordings of them singing the chorus. After receiving over 40 tracks of vocals they mixed them together and that became the chorus for the track. This philosphy of breaking down the barriers between the artists and the fans is what maintains TAT's supportive fanbase. Check out the current roster of TEKnicians HERE.
