Need advice on r7 Tailoring...
Hi there. I got through r8 without any problems, but I'm now at r7, where I'm pretty troubled with a few things.
I'm debating on which manual to use. So far, I'm between "Bone Marine Armors" (r4) or the r5 manuals that will use more "expensive" material.
Honestly, I can get crab shells (Port Cobh), but the 8k each is pretty harsh. I wait for Wednesday to purchase this, but it's still not that helpful.
Comes my question: What manual should I use? r4 has cheaper materials, but has a lower rate of great success. r5 has a higher rate of great success, but with rarer materials. The easiest r5 manual, the Tie-up boots, is only from Ant Hell, and I don't want to spend hours searching for that pattern.
If an expert tailor happens to read this, I would really appreciate it if he/she can provide advice on the higher ranks as well. Sooni's guide to tailoring doesn't really help since it's outdated =(
Thanks a lot!

Here is a list of patterns you can buy from NPCs for great successes. There are event/gacha patterns that you can also find, but they are very rare and are not worth using for exp.
r7: Terra Diamond boots or Bone Marine Armor (M)
r6: Bone Marine Armor (M)
r5: Thief Suit
r4: High Class leather armor
r3: High Class leather armor
If 8k crab shells are too harsh, I wouldn't rank tailoring past r7. The higher ranks are very costly and have little return. Mostly everything you create for exp will not sell and is better off being fragmented for more mats.

It's so much easier now that you can buy crab shells @ 8k each. I had to put a party sign up/stalk housing for them (at 10k). Used bone marine for r7 and r6, if I remember correctly.
