I just made a Mabination Terraria server.
IP Address: 127.0.0.1
Port: 7777
No password.
Its a brand new world, i'll leave it open all week.

127.0.0.1 is your localhost IP, no one except your PC can connect to that.
You'll need to provide your public IP and have your router configured to allow access to that port. No idea if there's any other configuration needed for terraria since I never touched the game.

I just forward my port but I'm getting a strange error when I try to run the server.
Tried using Hamachi too but I keep getting the same error..

yup, though it's intranet not internet.
Localhost = "loop back", it goes to itself. Think of it as the foreveralone.jpg of IP addresses.
Intranet/LAN is the IP for your home network, typically 192.168.x.x, your router likely 192.168.1.1
Public IP is the IP shown to the internet. Anyone can see this IP and try to ping or otherwise connect to it. Your router usually protects you from this type of stuff, so you need to open the appropriate ports when hosting a server. You'll likely also need to NAT, to tell your router that your <public IP> on port X, should actually go to <LAN IP> on port X.

We need an active Terraria server that's up most of the time, I think ._.
