Combat Pets

Greetings!

I currently have some spare nx lying around and I decided to get a pet good on combat. Which are the best? Mini bear, tiger cubs? And are magic-focused pets worth to buy?

Save NX until a really good pet that comes out like Ice Dragon.

15k to spare, but saving more for maids/butlers.

To be honest. None of them are good for general combat.

Only the dragons are close to that because you can fight while mounted on them.

^and while mounted, its melee attacks will be calculated from your damage, injury, critical and balance rates instead of the pets.

^ Oh right, those are probably the most helpful pets during boss fights.

I've been using a sprite a lot- the bonus to def and protection is pretty nice, and she seems to do alright when I split from her so long as she doesn't need to take on anything powerful by herself. Working on the AI is a chore, though.

And if you're an elf, then you're a fool not to consider a horse :P Makes mob hunting real easy, you can take out anything that lacks a ranged attack so long as you can damage it.

Hmm, thanks for the replies! I might consider a faster horse for my elf.
