A client is much better than the web client. Unless you leave your browser open, you'll miss out on the conversations that happen while you're not there. With the client, you can keep it open all the time and you can see everything that goes on when you're not there. And it's not considered eavesdropping in that case~

Also, this link maybe to Guru, but it's a decent little guide to the basics of IRC and it's commands.

Even if you don't use it regularly, it might be a good idea to bookmark the links to it. That way if the site crashes you can still reach the IRC to find out what happened.

The IRC is still in existance though, and does from time to time get action.

At the very least bookmark it so that if the forum goes down you can converse directly with Osayidan about it.

I always have the IRC open. Checking it is another thing. I need to find a Chat program with a Noise function that actually works.
