Worst oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. The loss of marine life and the damage to the ecosystem is unimaginable. Not to mention the loss of livelyhoods of the fishermen :S Tourism there also took a hit I hear.

Yeah most likely. The hurricane would have absorbed the oil in the sea water/evaporated oil and bought it inland. =(

That's terrible. And considering it's hurricane season its going to get worse :l I'm also wondering why people are boycotting BP. I mean if they lose money, they can't "fix" the spill, right?

The question though is, is BP really trying to fix the spill? Think about it, wouldn't you think that BP would try to get as much oil out of the gulf as possible instead of capping it and cleaning it? Remember that BP has no interest in the welfare of the US as it is a foreign company. It is also clear that BP knew that there was going to be a spill prior to the event.

At any rate, whether this is "conspiracy theory" stuff or not, there is definitely something fishy (no pun intended) going on down there.
