I don't think people are actually getting hacked by the nx stealing bots.

When you think about it, it just makes no sense: to get into someone's account, go into the mts, and steal the nx by buying a crap item for X amount then log off without changing the PIN, Password, or even stealing the mesos or items for gold farming in the mean time.

There is this theory however that allows bots to be able to gain access to your account of course, but it involves no security what so ever.

Think of it like the backdoor on bowser's castle on Super Mario world, the only difference is that in this case the bots use packet editing software on the mts it self to change the ID # of the player that enters on that computer to a random number which cycles through various accounts. Since the MTS runs on it's own Independent server which is connected to all of the Maplestory servers, the bots can cycle around all day at ease to steal everyone's nx without needing a single password or PIN.



TL;DR The bots are using packet sniffers in the mts to get into everyones accounts and steal nx.
