Mabinogi Heroes: Pets - Baby, Husky and Armor Gremlins

I guess we will be raising baby gremlins. The question is, to what advantage?

Makes me want to grow an afro to hide that baby choc... I mean gremlin

Pets will be revealed on the test server for balancing.
These pets will follow your character and find enemies to attack and use various skills depending on the situation to support you.


As many people have requested, the pets can perform the finish action and also fetch your evil core for you so looting cores will no longer be a nuisance.



Besides that, pets can perform a variety of support skills which include healing your character or providing a buff.
More info can be seen on the test server



With each battle your pet participates in, it will get hungrier. If it reaches a 'starved' status skill use will be restricted.
On the other hand, a 'well-fed' status will increase the stats of your pet.
Pet food can be made with crafting.

So to wrap up the key points of pets:
-They search and target enemies to attack
-They grow stronger by gaining experience after battles
-New skills will be unlocked as they grow stronger
-They use different skills depending on the situation to support your character
-Feeding your pet will make them happy and benefit from additional stats


The skills and functions for the baby gremlin is complete so it will be the first to be shown on the test server.
Addition pets will be shown like a gremlin with a more husky appeal and an armor-clad gremlin.

Pets have been updated

-Pets are account-bound and are shared between characters in the same account.
(there is a button for purchasing pets in the pet tab but isn't working ATM. But seeing how it is in the menu and not on a NPC I expect pets to be purchased with NX.)
-Pets gain experience after completing a battle and can be used up to a maximum of 2 hours each day.
-Pet food and feathers [yes feathers] can be bought from Aislinn.
-The following pet related cash items are available
Pet resurrection stone : Can be equipped on your pet to auto rez (expires after 3days)
Pet attack stone : Can be equipped on your pet to increase it's attack (expires after 3days)
Owner defense stone : Can be equipped on your pet to increase your defense[200] when you have your pet out. (expires after 3days)
your pet can equip two stones...

mobs can't target your pet, also meaning that pets can't pull aggro [at least as far as the baby gremlin goes]

they have a evasion stat which basically is a chance to negate incoming damage [on the pet of course] the stat seems to be a fixed amount regardless of level [30 for the baby gremlin] but I can't be sure yet since my pet is still lv 6

pets gain experience based on lv of the battle, the exact amount of experience awarded to the character for that battle doesn't seem to be relevant to the amount of exp the pet gains. it also seems that finishing a battle that is of appropriate level to the level of your pet yields more exp seeing how my lv 1 75 exp in hidden [which was about 11%] and got over 100 exp in chieftain [which was somewhere around 30%] and the amount gained in chieftain increase until up to lv 5 [the amount of exp gained increased but the total % stayed at 34%]
difficulty of the battle [normal, hard, hero] has no effect on the exp gained for pets.

the baby gremlin has a 500 def buff skill[1min duration] that is unlocked at lv 10

even after gaining a few levels, the baby gremlin is still useless battle-wise even in the northern ruins [or was it called perilous runes in NA?]

pets can't use skills once the hunger gauge is depleted to a certain level [need to check but I believe it starts from under 30/100] each pet food fills in 20 points in the hunger meter.


oh and just in case you haven't seen, I updated the test server patch notes a bit for more clarity.

2. Husky Gremlin Package
Price: 12,800 NX
Components:

• Husky Gremlin, gives pet owner +500 DEF bonus for one minute.
• Advanced pet food x50 Increases fullness stat by 100. (complimentary)

They give the same DEF bonus.

3. Armor Gremlin Package (Available only for a limited time)
Price: 14,900 NX
Components:

• Armor Gremlin, gives pet owner +600 DEF bonus for one minute.
• Pet Resurrection Stone (30 Days), Auto-revives your dead pet.
• Pet Defense Stone (30 Days) Increases pet owner's defense by 200 and can't be stacked with another stone.
• Advanced pet food x100 Increases fullness stat by 100. (complimentary)

Other Pet Items:

• Pet Resurrection Stone (30 Days) 1,900 NX
• Pet Defense Stone (30 Days) 1,900 NX
• Advanced Pet Food 2,900 NX

Normal Pet Food can be crafted with the Cooking Expertise. Which will cause ingredient prices to rise like salmon:



Pet Resurrection Feathers

Pet Feathers can be purchased for 1,500 Gold from the Mercenaries at the docks. You can only carry 10 Pet Feathers into battle.

normal grade pet food couldn't be bought from NPC, it can only be made by cooking..

I am not sure the rest, as I didn't buy a pet ..

At lv30 it has
HP 772
DEF 5456
so you can tell even at the highest level, there is a chance that it will be dead with only 2 hits ...
and ATK 3072 ....

According to Astroboy1928 from VindictusHQ, in the client there is a file called pet_skill****. The two skills are "test_skill" and "def_bonus" but since it's only raw data they can change it. That's all the info right now, the MH site hasn't posted anything.

Wonder how much defense they give. Hopefully it helps out with defense stacking, lol. People keep complaining about Evie so I figure this will at least give people more assistance in getting to the point where they can tank better.

It can be easily gathered from the video that you will be feeding it. Might be an incentive for people to use the cooking expertise. Unless we have to buy food from the NX shop
