Maribel seem to be able to cross boundairies in her dreams only.
It seem that for her, the power is active when she "sleep"

Now for Yukari.. it's quite possible she affect boundairies the same way..
For example, she's always dressed in a way that make it seem she would go to sleep.

Its rather speculated that the two characters are connected through each other's dreams, seeing the world through one another's eyes during their sleep. Its also a theory as to why Yukari sleeps far more than regular people, because their correlation in sleep is directly proportionate to each other.

No confirmation though.

As far as official information goes, Maribel does not have any solid link to Yukari. In fact, Perfect Memento went as far as to disprove this theory.
