I had my main account frozen on neopets a few months ago.

On yahoo answers there was a question about someone wanting an account that was 16+months old, which my alt is.

So I agreed to give it to her on one condition:

I had a single neopet on there I did not want abandoned, the rest were fine, but not this specific one.

Well a few days ago I decided to play NP again and wanted to make an account and transfer the pet I wanted saved to that new account.

I go to log on and it's not there, she abandoned it.

BUT. she had some nice painted pets on there so I decided to get a bit of revenge.

Paint brushes are fairly expensive, so I'd be pretty pissed if those pets got taken away from me.

So I changed my password. :)


The painted pets were

Speckled Paint Brush 42,000 NP
Mystery Island Paint Brush 4,800,000 NP
Faerie Paint Brush 1,400,000 NP

I sent her an email with:

I asked you very nicely not to abandon my neopet, but you did, so I took my account back and the neopets on it.

surprisingly, she replied within a few minutes

Going to be reporting because you hacked so I can get my pets back.

Which is funny because on this page it clearly states

Contrary to what many people claim, no one has ever hacked into Neopets, accessed user information, accounts or usernames. The ONLY means by which a user can have an account stolen is when they inadvertently or intentionally gives away their password.

If my pet was on there I would have gotten the pet and left the account alone, but nooo.
