Dang, for ONCE I got the reference.
That aside, the fact that people with clout actually say this without repercussion (nay, support) is mildly disturbing. Yes, I'm for freedom of speech, and, like Voltaire, I would rather disagree with what someone is saying than have that person be silenced forever. But that really doesn't mean I think this person should be taken seriously.

Its not that he isn't right about one or two things. Women have surpassed men in social status which isn't what equality was all about, but he shouldn't say they need to get back in the kitchen. Also, theres no reason we should pay for birth control. And I would like to see more modesty practiced in society but that applies to both men and women.

I reffer to "gender equality" as "the potential to reach the same heights that are allowed for the opposite gender".

Ho ho. If we want "gender equality" as he would seem to have it, we might as well abolish all class systems of every sort, and everybody will be tilling the same dirt and be shitting in the same holes. In other words: No politicians, no lawyers, no professions or nothing. Just "people". That'd solver your problems!

I hope I don't meet anybody who agrees with him, though.
