It basiclly boils down to
quest to lvl
merchant for gear
end game pve or ganking pvp
It does look nice

I used to, and then 3.0 came and gave me patching problems, so I tried to reinstall but got annoyed and just didn't care.

Yea... EVE seems hugely different than most other MMO's out there. Even though its kind of hard to get into it imo.
