I guess the question, putting it simply, is if the days keep counting down while the person is banned? My guess is that it does.

My guess is that the former happens actually, but it would all depend on how the code was written out, which I wish I had a chance to look at.

I corrected myself in the edit, expire time is extended.

Kanam: The ban period seems to add up to the expiring time of the infractions.
i.e
Person has an Infraction that expires in 10 days.
Person gets banned for 3 days.
Infraction will expire in 13 days, not in 10.

Could a person be banned permanently before achieving 28 points? I think it's happened before, I don't know if this system works that way?

With a manual ban, yes. It would happen on extreme cases (or obvious bots, trolls, etc), and when this happens it is after a discussion among all the staff.

Actually, they're pretty fucking liniment if you ask me, your first ban should be your only ban because your ass shouldn't be allowed back.
