It's mostly a power urge thing.. Some people get a "kick" out of exercing power over others. Very often too, rape victim know the attacker in one way or another. There is quite often more of a reason than a random "need for sex" in rape.


Anyway.. guys undress in public quite often in summer.. I don't get why they don't get shamed for it since they are attracting female attention that could possibly turn into men raping demons! (just been ironic, want to show the double standars of it..)

Male nudity has always been viewed in a different way throught history.

For the longest time males couldn't paint & or sculpt a naked female without slapping the name Venus on it.

I think it also falls into gender rolls & how females & males are different.

I don't see pleasure or sexual frustration as the real reason. But that's because my logic goes "It doesn't matter if you're perverted and desperate; if you're respectful of the other person's wishes, it stops you from raping them."

It's a common misconception, many animals's sexual behavior are not simply instinctive, their sexual behaviour are in many ways the same as humans, they will use sex for many things other than reproduction, for example prostitution exists in some spices where the animal will perform sexual acts to gain material items, be it food, shelter or other things. some species also perform oral sex, and/or masturbation. so they do "think" when it comes to sexual activities.

Anyways the point is, rape is not a phenomenon seen only in humans, it also happens with many other species, and humans in the end are still animals.this give rise to the theory that rape is some times a sociobiological effect, meaning such behavior is the result of evolution, and in a sense natural. of course such theory is very controversial and rather hard to prove, especially when considered from an ethical point of view, but it's a possible contributing factor to such behavior. Then again the fact we are still using a theories means nobody figured out or agreed on the cause of this behaviour yet.

In my personal opinion, I feel it's just sexual urges taking over as a general thing.

I feel like accusations of power trip for instance seem like the victim and those outside of the situation looking at what happened trying to give a reason for what just happened instead of realizing that "it happened for no significant reason". An idea like this can be applied to a lot of behaviors, notably with those who believe conspiracy theories. Seemingly in our nature we tend to like to place significance on horrifying events, and a significant event surely needs a significant trigger. But in the end, some events, not all, just... Happen.

Psychology isn't my strong area of study. However, I personally prefer simple solutions to problems.

Actually I never got the whole Bikini kind of thing.. in my mind it's the same as wearing underwear.. I don't get how other girls can do it in public. I sure can't.

I'm not sure if this has changed, but aren't guys more- what's the word- sensitive? to visual stimulus (at least in this case)

and I'm with the people that say if you dress like a slut you deserve to be called one- very big difference between sexy and slutty, as well as the difference between confident of the your body and slutty

The whole "women ask for it thing" is really nothing but an excuse made up by brainless retards fishing for an excuse to justify rape and/or make women look bad. Women have always been taught that it is them and only them who have control over what men do, when in reality you cannot "force" someone to be attracted to you and you especially cannot "force" someone to rape you, especially if you say no.

tl;dr; people rape people because they're brainless apes who think they can do as they please.
