Maplestory is getting rid of the MTS

I doubt nexon takes their maplestory users seriously, in fact most of them arn't even 10 years old yet, and abuse their parent's credit cards for fucktonnes of NX.

It only makes money by making people buy more nx.

The tax itself does not directly make the game money, it costs Nexon nothing to distribute or take away a virtual currency of their creation.

A lot of people on this forum confuse losing money and not making money when it comes to NX given away by nexon.

Yeah: I received NX in that "apology" thing from Mabinogi a while ago (last year)? I was looking forward to spending it on a pet, but two weeks later, most of it was gone, spent on "Flaming Feathers" (which are very easy to obtain in Maplestory these days, so I knew I couldn't have bought it). I was extremely confused and upset, so it's good to know that this is what happened.

Upside: People no longer lose nx through bots abusing the MTS
Downside: Maplers can't abuse the MTS for free nx (Frankly I see that as an upside. They should get a job and get it themselves or do surveys)

Nexon was probably losing money on the MTS anyways. All that nx people could have bought instead (maybe)

Could say the same thing about stocks in RL or playing the lottery.

Wasn't really abuse, only a few things in that MTS was actually worth selling, it's just like buying nx from other players with items.


Also on a side note. the MTS was a jMS thing and not a kMS thing.

This is true. I honestly used it to buy items that I couldn't afford with in game gold.

I tend to spend real money to get in game gold. Never through bots mind you, only through Nexon and then selling that off to players via gach, dyes, or trusted buyers.
