Yes. Because seeing "Go! TOTODILE!" or "Your CLEFABLE is really happy!" is annoying.

Makes me think that everyone in the Pokemon world yells the Pokemon species names, and speaks normally the rest of the time.

Most of the time. Sometimes I give them Digimon names.

Depends on how attached to the Pokemon I am. Sometimes I won't name it when I first catch it, but later on visit the Name Changer Old Guy, and change the names to whatever I please.
