Range + any melee is nowhere near as effective as range + fighter. Fighter is basically tailored to fill in for some of the weaknesses that melee/range already have... and for the most part, range by itself and melee by itself have always been better than range + melee.

Fighter + magic is not really any different than being situationally pure fighter and situationally pure mage because the skillsets are just meant to work differently, and there are even some negative effects to bolts/basic alchemy if you're using Respite.

Thought I'm a Alch/Mage, I'm still gonna do Fighter for monsters with mana ping.

Or you could've bought the NX to obtain them in-game and not have spent anything on mabi.

Though realisticallly, most people will have charged at least $500+ of their own money over the years for mabi... some up to 3~6m NX although players that rack up that much probably bought 60% of it in-game. There is an interesting tool that helps you tally how much you've spent on mabi... link should be in the enchant database this site has under "Tools" section.

i use those pets when i lag or suddently something fails
but this guy uses it as part of his combos ....

not a good fighter vid, at all
also can't see the damage numbers x.x

This, I don't want the best damage, but I'd love o have something to fall-back on when my Alchemy or Magic won't do me any good.

its just my opinion about the fighter video anyways, if its made to show fighter skills and damage
but if that's his way to play, thats okay for me

Can end-game fighter skills possibly solo the master lich?(fighter-only skills, trans allowed, no demi except for regen, no golems/pets)

Why would fighter let you solo master lich if nothing else can? all it takes is for him to simply use any skill, you die and that's that. Unless you can do like 300k damage on a single attack, melee/range/fighter/alchemy/magic/drugs aren't gonna just let you solo master lich.

I dunno, some people said that fighter skills delay AI/lock them up like WM for extended periods of time.

The only fighter skill that doesn't follow the same stun/knockback mechanics as all other skills in the game is Pummel, and that only works on enemies without adv. heavy stander (i.e. not master lich or field bosses, or anything that can't be knocked down).

The only special thing they have otherwise is being able to defeat normal melee/smash in terms of attack priority for an enemy that is rushing at you.
