    Managing Fighter Keys

So everyone is aware that you are require to hit F1/F2 to activate chain 2 and 3, is there a way to switch that F1/F2 to where my Charging Strike and Focused fist is located? F1/F2 ---> 6/7

Also how do you guys click and activate your skills?
I end up clicking target, when my character heads closer to it I start rapidly pressing F1 or F2 before she normal attacks and delay chain o3o

You gotta get pretty close to your target before you press the hotkeys, but not too close that it auto attacks :x And turn off Auto Combat/Reserve attacks ^^

As for the first question, no idea.
Vindictus: East server, WingedBlade (Lann), BlastedArrow (Evie), DoubleCheek (Fiona), Raidical (Karok), ARiceBun (Kai)

Mabinogi: Alexina, Mobster1337, Raptorwing, Metalhorn, Phiggs, Fallenamber.

For me, F1 & F2 are Counter and Defend. They have been that, ever since G1, on every single character.

This is still true, even when my (now main) Giant is integrating Fighter skills. What I did was to place the chain 1 skills as hotkeys 1 and 2 (not F1 & F2), and leave counter and defend in their old positions. I also put counter and defend on number keys 5 and 6. This meant that, even shortly after using a Chain 1 skill, I can still counter and defend if needed.

I would also advise against putting Chain 1's solely on F1 & F2. Why? Incase you need to use the other Chain 1 skill shortly after using the first. Unless you have these two skills at two other spots as well, you'll be forced to only be able to continue a chain, and not go from Focus Punch to Charging Strike incase of emergency.

As for the Reserve Attack tip, if you really don't want to constantly click / you're used to Reserve attack, get into the habit of clicking the ground right before attempting to chain an attack (this mostly occur if you're switching opponents mid-Chain). Spamming fighter skills seems to actually trigger auto-attacks quite a lot, so try to do button presses one at a time.

I actually wanted to try turning Reserve Attack off. Can anyone explain any major downsides to this? I attempted it briefly, but I'm iffy about the differences.

I really wish we could change them from F1 & F2, the reason being, I have a new keyboard and the F keys are all incredibly small, so I'm much better off using skills on the number buttons. Nexon should really just change it so that the next chain corresponds to the where you place the first chain in that combo (I'm regarding combos as the stuff you learned to link together i.e. charging, summersault kick, pummel).

With Reserve Attack, you can press it from any distance and your character will execute it as soon as it's in range.

So I don't see why you'd turn it off.

I've had reserve attack off since i started this game.

Auto attack is just auto attack and reserve attack... attacks how many times you clicked.

Does more than that. Click once for Fighter, Alchemy, or Magic skills and you'll run in range and use it. With Reserve off, you just run toward the mob. Which means you'd have to spam click to activate it right away.
For Range it immediately starts aiming at your target as soon as it finishes loading, helping you shoot faster, depending how many times you clicked.

There's really no benefit to completely turning off Reserve Attack, because clicking once behaves exactly the same. Unless for some reason you can't control of how many times you click the mouse.

I have the Chain 2 skills on my number keys. Sometimes they don't execute properly though...could be position lag, but I wasn't even lagging D:

I think they can only be activated with F1 and F2.
