I think it's everyone's memories about them. There has to be a reason it's called Epilogue: Memories.

It's a bit sad though, since all your actions have also been erased from memories. Everyone treats you like right after you cleared Perilous Ruins, everything just got reset to a pre-Ainle thing. It actually shows in the Chit-Chat option, where they're using the same dialogue lines I last saw over a year ago.

Its nice to know no one gives a shit about us again.

Probably giving us a reason to go to erinn, because the epilouge seemed to really stress your character was alone.

(which makes me just want to rage at the entire 5 heros causing gender lock thing, but hey, thats another topic)

I find the afterstroy so strange

I mean, Keaghan and Tieve's existance were erased entirely? Or just everyones memories?
In which if their existances were truly gone, why is Gwynn still dead?

I think anyone who died was most likely erased from everyone's memories as well, and they aren't back to life either, because anything that belonged to Keaghan or Tieve wasn't removed, just nobody knows who they belonged to.
This makes me think people who died from events in the story stay dead, but are completely forgotten because the story didn't happen.

They needed to be dead, otherwise it'd be a time paradox if the NPCs were alive and everything happened again.

Yeah, I don't think there was any time alteration going on. Everything has occured, they just made everyone forget about it. So pretty much they reset everyone's memory back to like... Hoarfrost Hollow. Most of the mercenaries treat you like a new recruit again and the Royal Army treats you like a mercenary.

As mentioned before: the only memories besides those that got completely erased are those of Keaghen, Tieve, and likely everyone that died during the course of the story (Ellis, Gwynn, Ingkells). However everything they did still occured, like Balwynn mentions having orders that nobody knows the origins of. However Balwynn doesn't show any remorse about Gwynn or Ellis, let alone knowledge of those two.

It's a bit jarring, but it's pretty much what pre-Ainle Vindi was. But minus a few key characters.

I've recorded the ending cutscene and all of the "Still Here:" quest line. I can upload it if anyone wants it that badly, but I'm sure it's already up on Youtube somewhere.


Anyways, this did bring up something I have to wonder about. Just how much does your character remember? It seems like you're wandering around since you remember what happened. But the text about Tieve and such heavily implies that your character also forgot.

I think our character doesn't remember anything at all, though it would've made more sense for them to remember something...I mean they were basically there during the whole transformation of Tieve and Keaghan into Morrighan and Chichol, so making them forget is kinda like...meh.
Oh well, I guess it's for plot reasons, that or our character isn't that special.
What I'm wondering is, how does our character still know how to transform o.o? After the whole entire memory wipe, they should know how to...

That last part with Tieve Keaghan and your character made me think your character remembered with some sudden flashback.

though honestly, what would they do? People barely know your character and would think he/she's mad. I think with Vind ep 2 we'll get an entirely new cast of NPCs, and this was just a way to get our characters deattached to leave.

Continuity Issues are everywhere with this though. I mean shouldn't the Dark Knight brotherhood find it odd that this random person they dont even know is part of their ranks (same goes for Paladins really)

I honestly feel there would be too much of a written record on our character for everyone to forget, I mean there should be some sort of wanted poster of Keaghan and us from the Royal Army, we were branded heretics afterall. Hell Im pretty sure a wanted poster is mentioned in ep 9.

Oh well, I've never cared much for vind's story.
