I've always loved your art, your doodles and those commissions you did for me long ago.
Can I ask how long that sketch took? I'm curious.

Well, since I only really bothered detailing her face and some of her hair then just futzed everything else in, probably 15/30 minutes? XD

Statements like these just make me jealous. I can do things that are not overly complicated, but when it gets down to it, I would probably spend 2hours for something of the "doodle" quality you have there <.<
Especially faces, those tend to take me 3-4hours till i am satisfied. I think the face is a bit too stretched, but the clearness and simple lines are awesome enough.
Did you draw that on the pc/pad or really with a pen/cil and hand?

This was done on a computer with an Intuos 4 on Paint Tool SAI. The brush settings are from here.
I don't usually draw very quickly. I think this time I just got lucky. XD; When it comes to getting to something I actually want to lineart and color, it takes me significantly longer.

Hm..maybe I should try a few pictures on pads as well. My pencil drawings look awesome (or so I like to think) irl, but when I scan them down they lose to much depth...and the lines come out real bad. Even after redrawing with markers it's just not the same.
Did you settle on yours after experimenting or just started with it?

I think everything's worked out well for me so far in terms of just running into things that work. I love the brush settings, I love the program, and I love my tablet. xD
I used to prefer photoshop for blending since I couldn't get a certain feel in my SAI work but running into those brush settings was amazing. SAI is just so much lighter as a program so being able to use it for most of the process is really helpful. I always preferred it for sketching anyway, so it worked out.
