Rumor: NCsoft to Suspend Lineage 3's Development

Recently, Nexon becomes the major holder of Korean giant NCsoft and since then Nexon has laid off hundreds of employees. There is a rumor said that several MMORPGs under development including Lineage 3 (Lineage 3 and Lineage Eternal are two different games) is forced to suspend its development.

According to some Korean gaming insiders, about 200 to 800 employees will be forced to quit. Currently, NCsoft are encouraging employees to quit with "honour" and as compensation, those employees will be rewarded semi-annual salary.

The employees who are confirmed to leave NCsoft said that the revenue of Aion glided sharply due to the launch of League of Legends, Diablo 3 and so on. And Nexon became NCsoft's biggest shareholder which means a recombination is necessary.

Seems to me that it's possible Nexon now has more power than anyone previously thought, However it's still a rumor

Of course they should but whether or not that's what their doing that here is still unclear as a semi annual salary isn't exactly a severance... but its not far off...

Yeah that's totally more important than the fact that Nexon is apparently trying to disintegrate NCsoft's workforce instead of incorporating it.
