My Goldsmithing is currently nearing 99. I foresee leveling this to be a very expensive endeavor (luckily, I'm the type who's saved everything shiney since Level 10, so I've got it easy on a lot of things).
Is getting the proficiency up really worth it, though? Or should I just wait until I have nothing better to do (Level 57 now).
Honestly, it's not very profitable at the moment. You could potentially gain some profit from crafting 3 Star Thorn Rings and Emblems, but that's about as far as you can get.
Goldsmithing should allow you to break even though due to the demand for 3 Star items (and any luck with 4 star ones), so you might as well keep doing it. It gets painful when you leave it for when you have nothing better to do as expertises require you to wait in order to level it.

We'll be able to craft basically everything, even level 70 gears.
