Why are they changing everything?

I mean, they redid G1-G3

Introduced Genesis and changed the combat system with cool downs

G17 is bringing more things in Iria.

but this game is on its final stretch, I mean its supposed to end at G20 right? I just dont get why just now they're making all these changes.

Maybe it's for, and this is just me shooting at the dark here, Mabi 2. They're probably throwing science to the wall and seeing what sticks. Of course, I'm well aware that the likelihood of my theory being remotely correct is slim to not a fucking chance.

Well if you want more money, you kind of make changes and such so it can look even more appealing. If Mabinogi was rough draft, think of this as edits to the final draft. So it can attract more players, have old players have a reason to play longer, and such. Which thus equal more money. It is a gaming company and there's others gaming company that are also updating their stuff. Mabinogi in the beginning was also not an easy game to just get a easy grip on. I only played for so long cause of my friends. I would have quit if nobody taught me. The combat system was a bit annoying as a beginner.

Like the beginner quests giving out free pets. In the beginning, I know some people who quit playing simply because they dont want to buy NX for pets for inventory and traveling. With these 2 additional pets with no inventory, they can play for a while before they need more space for inventory. Which might make them want to buy more pets for inventory space.

New interface and new skills/classes and such makes things feel newer and expands the Mabinogi world. Making it a even more enjoyable game to play if there's a lot to do. The game is unique even with these updates so people complaining about how its becoming like any other game, they're just complaining. Even with these updates, I doubt you find a game even remotely similar to Mabinogi.

Uhm and it wasn't final that Mabinogi G20 might be the last generation. If they continue having more updates, more players and such. And if they make a increasingly well amount of money, G21 + might even come out. I mean look at how Maple Story started. It still going despite everything. And Maple Story started way before Mabinogi. All they did to Maple Story was make things easier for beginners, expand the world and classes, and make things easier for newbs to become stronger. And it's still going.

So yeah, Mabinogi still got a long while before it goes bye bye. The point of it all though is to get more players and keep the old players to keep playing. Changing the combat system was probably means to make it easier for new players as well as old when they start introducing harder/difficult stuff. I recalled them saying they might make something passed Elite for older players. Who knows. There's a lot to do. I'm still waiting for Ninja classes or thief classes in Mabinogi. Might not come out but hey, who knows?

Not really, but they did state that it(the story, I think) was intended to end around G20 or something a while back; but my memory on that's pretty vague.

c4 was crap, I hope they make an extra 3~4 gens that make sense to make up for the bullshit it surfaced, or at least pretend it never happened.

I thought C4 was the best chapter aside from well.. C1, and I'd like to pretend C2 never happened, tysvm.

Mabinogi won't end until player stop paying money to play it. Mabinogi 2 probably isn't really being worked on at all, given that there is no information whatsoever on it aside from that once leak two years ago.

And if you think about how much money people sunk into the mabi characters, there'll be nothing short of a public outcry if they suddenly decide to end mabi at G20.
