A patch sometime ago has changed how rafting positioning works and I have noticed much more desyncing and disposition for ones character while using stationary magic skills IE thunder.
I have tried this on various time frames throughout the past few weeks as well on MTU 1500 and 386 respectively to meet the same desyncing. I of coarse don't use any in game modifications and have just lowered my MTU many months ago along and made no changes since.
For those unaware of desyncing its where your characters actual position(server side) differs from what you see(client side) resulting to the inability to use skills that may seem in range.
The main problem I have been facing is the inability to determine the serverside character when boarding a raft and moving about as well a continuous problem of desyncing when trying to use bolts on targets that require you to move in range. Something similar to "rubber-banding" problems Pre G8. This may be connected to a patch to attempt to correct the one fighter skill pummel though dont know the specifics nor if it was fixed( I don't use melee). So if we could spread some light on the subject regarding the recent change to rafting that would be most appreciated so I may attempt to remedy this situation. I only know this change occurs sometime around the fighter patch.
Yeah, this is why I don't want to get anywhere near a raft. No matter what you use, be it thunder or crash shot... if you raft, you're gonna have a bad time.
Happens to Throwing Attack too (and a lesser degree Ranged Attacks), more so to the one being attacked rather than the attacker. This happens when Throwing Attack misses. The one being attacked would continue to run towards the Thrower but then rubber band back once they got close enough to attack the Thrower.
Simply speaking, this displacement glitch(?) is very inconvenient. It's what usually screws me up during PvPs or simple dungeoning/SMs. Not to mention I'm an east coaster with crappy 356kbps so I feel much more of this bs.

6-Big and 1-small -> 4~5-Big -> 6-Big and 1-small per run is having a bad time?
With thunder, it's not a big deal. Simply move around and don't load the skill till they are in front of you. You'll feel better (unless you are within range, in which case you'll rage at their lightning bolts which keep you from firing your thunder).
