Looks like a copy of Age of Chivalry with updated graphics. IN fact it looks so much like it that a comparison with the CHinese TF2 clone seems warranted, at least from the Alpha footage and descriptions presented.
And I'm sorry, but butchering villages was NOT the standard in Medieval times. Why would it be? They fought for central points of control, castles and cities, not puny villages. Furthermore, Chivalry was not a shallow throw-about term. It meant something, even if not everyone rigorously practised its code, and certainly not in battle itself.

Plutôt on verra l'onde contre mont reculer,
Et plutôt l'œil du monde cessera de brûler,
Que l'amour qui m'époint décroisse d'un seul point.

No!
Ah, I see it's the successor to AoC. It still seems to be just a lazy rewrapping in a new engine so far.

I believe the team wasn't satisfied with how the Source engine was working out for them, so they turned to Unreal engine to have more coding freedom.
It's not so much of a lazy rewrapping, but more like "We can now do things we couldn't do with the Source engine". And since they bought a license, they can sell it instead of just releasing it as a mod of a game.
All aside, Chivalry isn't aiming for realism as much as its direct competitor, War of the Roses. To put it in another light, comparing Chivalry to War of the Roses is like comparing Call of Duty to Battlefield.
