So I just had this idea for an RPG a little while ago...

Basically its about this guy that works as the manager in a shipping business. (This is medieval themed, BTW) But one day, there is an extra package that wasn't on the shipping list. A small, old chest. He begins to examine the strange object, when suddenly black armor jumps out of the chest and latches onto him, giving him ultimate powers of darkness.

Old legends in the story say that when a human dawns armor the shade of the blackest of night, armor that would strike fear into the hearts of even the greatest of beasts, he shall be the one to enslave the world.

And of course this is the main character, except for one thing, he doesn't want to be an evil overlord of darkness, he just wants to go home and be with his family. But he can't because everyone is out to stop him, including an elite force of Paladins. The main character is aided by his evil army of darkness, who only wants to help him rule the world. And he basically is wondering "Why me?" the whole way through.

Probably already been done before. Just popped into my head today. What do you guys think?

really doubt this has been done before. You get too many hero types in these games.

It just seems to pull together alot of cliche things.

The magical object that latches on to people.
Hero Questioning his fate
And i've seen the I don't want to be evil but now destiny says i have to be.

Again it depends on how the plot goes in between these points that make it unique.
