[Guide] How to Enable PS3 & 360 Controllers for Vindictus.
XP Users! For some steps refer to Italics. Vista & 7 users follow guide normally!
Before we get started you will need the following Items:
PS3 Users:
• Mini-USB to USB Cable
• MotionJoy
360 Users:
• 360 Wireless Reciever / 360-USB Cable
• Drivers
PS3 Controller:
• Reboot & press F8 until an Advanced menu appears. Select “Disable Driver Signature Enforcement”
XP users please refer to this guide
• Install MotionJoy & plugin your controller
• Open the program “DS3 Tools” & Click Driver Manager
• Select Load driver & allow it to install
Now Windows will see the controller in Controller configurations, but to use it with vindictus we aren’t done yet.
• Select the Xbox360 Emu option and click Enable
If Your on Windows 7 or Vista there will be another driver installed automatically, XP users don’t worry. To see if everything is dandy click “Game Controller Panel” in DS3 Tools. It should say something like “Controller (xbox 360 Wireless Receiver for Windows)” Click properties & the controller should be responsive. Right now would be a good idea to Calibrate it.
• Load up Vindictus & go into Advanced Options, then click Xbox 360 in the list of of Controllers
Side Note: You will have to re-enable the emulation via DS3 Tools when you restart your computer every time. Along with that the controller has to be plugged into the Same USB Port it was installed on the first time. If you want to install the controller on a different usb port you may unload the drivers & restart the steps. These are the few drawbacks to the use of a PS3 Controller.
Common Issues: Sometimes after the first installation & a restart the computer will see the controller but DS3 Tools wont. To solve this simply Unplug the Controller & Unload the driver in "Driver Manager" in the DS3 Application. Re-plugin the Controller and Allow windows update to install the PlayStation 3 Controller drivers, then go into DS3 Tools and select Load Drivers. Afterwards Reboot & Windows should start installing about 5 different MotionJoy drivers. the client should pick-up the controller again, then Re-enable 360 Emulation.
PS3 Controller Test
PS3 Layout:
• Triangle – Strong attack (D)
• Square – Light Attack (S)
• X – Guard/Dodge (A)
• Circle – Loot/ES Move (W)
• L2 Trigger – Secondary Weapon (Shift)
• Left Analog – Character Movement (WSAD/Arrows)
• Right Analog – Camera Movement (Q)
• Left Directional – HP Potions (1)
• Up Directional – Feathers (2)
• Right Directional – Slot 3 (3)
• Bottom Directional – Slot 4 (4)
If you did everything properly then all the lights on the controller should be solid!
360 Controller Users:
• Install the appropriate driver according to the type of controller you have (Using wireless/Wired) and your Operating System then restart your computer.
• Plugin the controller & Windows should automatically pick it up in the game controller list. In Windows Vista & 7 just search “Controllers” in your start menu.
XP users go to your control panel then select “Printers and other Hardware” then Select “Game Controllers” Now You will want to Calibrate the controller, so select Calibrate from the list.
• Load Vindictus & Select the 360 Controller Layout from advanced options.
Much easyier then PS3 that’s for sure.
360 Layout:
• Y – Strong attack (D)
• X – Light Attack (S)
• A – Guard/Dodge (A)
• B – Loot/ES Move (W)
• LT Trigger – Secondary Weapon (Shift)
• Left Analog – Character Movement (WSAD/Arrows)
• Right Analog – Camera Movement (Q)
• Left Directional – HP Potions (1)
• Up Directional – Feathers (2)
• Right Directional – Slot 3 (3)
• Bottom Directional – Slot 4 (4)
If you feel like anything is missing in this guide feel free to say so! Thanks.

I use a PS3 controller for Vindictus and I thought it might help some to point out a program called "Xpadder."
You can use Xpadder to easily remap the button layout and adjust the up and down and left and right sensitivity of the analog sticks.

MotionJoy has Mapping in its configuration already, Plus... Your on XP I take it? W7 & Vista is an entire different story when it comes to compatibility.

Yup, I use Xpadder as well it is pretty good. I did not like motion joy that much, but I highly recommend Xpadder.

Unfortunately I don't think there's any option in game to config sensitivity for controllers..
I personally used a program called JoyToKey before to config my xbox controller playing other games.
I've used that with vindictus only to add f12 to start button so far.
But If you want to spend time to play around with the settings you should give it a try.
that program allows simulation of mouse movement and sensitivity.. I believe it should be able to fix ur problem
Vindictus East
BladeQueen Lv36 Sword Fiona
Kimmi Lv32 Staff Evie
Playing super slow..

If you use the custom mapping on motionjoy you can also make it so that the start, select, and PSbutton act as F12, F11, and Esc. Pretty nice for those that don't want to extend their arm. As well I find it better if the the secondary weapon was mapped to R1 as I find it more responsive given it's position. Then having L2 and R2 as SPswap and SP skill.
