Control Options Questions/360 Controller

I'm rather new and am trying to wrap my head around all the "advanced" control options.

Thanks to another thread I understand how "auto aim" secondary weapons works, but could anyone offer some experience on some of the other less obvious options, especially the camera ones?

I play with the 360 controller now, but I can't seem to get the camera to follow my character (i.e. always face forward) like it did when I was keyboard/mouse. I'm forced to use the other stick to correct the camera every time I move.

It's a matter of the options in advanced settings. Honestly I prefer it that way. It should be one of the check boxes. They're really not advanced in terms of Difficulty. To set-up the controller layout you just double click the box to the right of what your editing under the Joypad 1 column, and Click the button you want it assigned to.
