Problem officer? Rofl.
Now that I think about it, those new magic speed potions are pretty ridiculous. With a phoenix fire wand, a speed pot and fast casting you could cast fireball in like seven seconds.

Tested the Magic Speed potion while soloing Karu Glowing Stone Imp Statue.
It seems to be a 30% boost (Firebolt = 1sec, Fireball = 10s).
I don't do rafting with archery to be a douche. I do it because I find it easy to make gold that way (reselling tipping suits to NPCs), and I really hate l-rods and all the extra noise I have to listen to when I'm exploring. Literally, it gives me a headache. Rafting gets me the EXP faster even if I'm not OMG TEH PRO THUNDER MAGE. Why would I prefer something that's slower? For someone else's own convenience because they can't deal with stray hobgoblins? I also want to know how you wouldn't expect this thread to get to the point of elitism when you're saying that there are certain groups of people that shouldn't in "your" spot. People can do what they want. If you're a great rafter, then it shouldn't be such a horrendous problem and you'll STILL get more stars than me. I use magnum when I need to because there are mobs I won't kill by just taking one shot. I don't do it to be a douche. I do it because I want to enjoy myself in a GAME where everyone is allowed to do whatever they want as long as it falls within the rules. I do it because I want to. The last thing on my mind is pissing off who knows what mage that can't deal with stray hobgoblins.
I'm also not going to use up my AP on magic when obviously other people think that I need my life skills for my dex (which I do, that's why I'm saving my AP for that instead of magic). I'm going to do what I like, my way.
Alright. If that was the point, then why single out the archers? Is the assumption that only the archers do it? I'm pretty sure archers don't not kill things for the sake of not killing them. I've had issues with missing or things going into deadly and THEN missing. If newbs want to try something out, why shouldn't they be allowed to? Anyone should have the right to have fun the way they want to, not the way others tell them to. I notice that another mage posted in here saying that even with some goblins out of place, rafting is still very much doable.
The other problem I have is that while you claim no one is telling archers not to raft, you say that only those who can 1-hit KO something should be rafting. By that standard, I shouldn't be rafting. So basically, what I see, is someone telling me "You can't 1-hit KO with your range so you should stop rafting". This mindset very much affects me and it irritates me that someone claims people can't do something because of what really should be considered the fault of the game.
Thus the moral of this thread is if you don't know how to do something GTFO
Go distinguish between a rage post and a sensible post. Obviously, my first post was to rage at nib archers. After that post, I clarified myself by saying that idc if archers/mage/alchemists raft as long as they actually clean after themselves.
In fact, I don't even care if the person has low rank of magic/range/alchemy, as long as they can clean after themselves. MY GRIEVANCE IS CLEARLY CAUSED BY PEOPLE WHO DON'T CLEAN AFTER THEMSELVES.
The reason the example was archer is because they are the most common ones that mess the mobs up. Sure people could enter with ice bolts, but do they do that as often as archers? no. If you are disturbed by the fact i used archer as an example, I could replace archers with bolters. But the thing is it doesn't even matter; you are complaining about something irrelevant, thus derailing this thread.
And sure the mages can clean up the mobs that noobs messed up with bolts, but the fact that I have to clean up after them is disturbing. I am not the noob's parent; why should I clean their crap up?
No, the newbies does not deserve to enjoy rafting if they cannot take their responsibility. Just like how newbies shouldn't be at field bosses (not talking about dd or rd) if they don't know how to fight them properly, they shouldn't be rafting if they do not know how.
Now this is not elitism that you accuse that it is because a ranger/mage with low ranks can still raft. If they know how to make sure the mobs don't follow them, then it is perfectly fine. Why when I had rF thunder, I rafted just fine without screwing the mobs up. Sure it wasn't efficient so I quit it after a few runs, but the point is even people without r1 everything can enjoy rafting as long as they have the knowledge.
Thus the moral of this thread is if you don't know how to do something GTFO, but if you know how to do something, then welcome even if you aren't an elite. Lol this sounds so similar to real life.
tldr version; Play the way that benefits everyone!
Actually, I think Kaeporo might have been making a poke at you by shortening your post to something along the lines of "People should play the way I tell them to play."
