So I managed to buy a White Ring Bow today (yay!), and I plan on 118 upgrading it.
But since I want this to be my potential end game bow, I feel like it's time I started using enchants.
So my question is, what enchants would work well on a bow. Reading the Elven Handbook again made me think of a Wolf Hunter's Energetic, but I'm not sure how viable that is.
(Note - I will be using enchant protection pots on this bow, though I don't want to spend too much on it)

why would you bother using protect pots on a 600k bow with enchants under r9? and why wolf hunter's energetic? why not lizard spike? or even, for easier to enchant for slightly less damage, lizard delusional?

Fair enough.
I don't really know much about enchants anyways (that and most White Ring Bows seem to go for 800k here).
Guess I'll go for Lizard Spike then.

If i was you, I'd go for Glorious Spike, but that's just me (be prepared to spend a lot of Enchant Protection potions 8D)

just a warning, though, spike will likely take you several tries to get onto your bow. you'll be spending a bit on enchant protect pots if you want to make sure you don't blow it up.

Well, 2nd probably obvious question for people who know about enchants.
What's the recommended set of enchants to build up for Spike?

Stamp, which is regardless of rank->Spike
It isn't too hard, but pretty annoying to hunt down or buy all the burns or ES's.

Stamp is an enchant for weapons that can be enchanted regardless of rank, and Spike is an enchant that is the same tier as it. So Stamp -> Spike.
I'd honestly go for Stiff Spike. Unless you somehow want r9 Lightning Bolt.

I always felt end game meant Ego but I suppose some enchants really do give unmaxed ego and run for their money.
As everyone already pointed out Wolf Hunter Energetic isn't really ambitious; if your going for upgrades like Stiff/Lizard make sure you upgrade for crit as well!

Not sure about Stiff. It's a r9 Enchant and gives the exact same boosts as Lizard (cept the injury, which I honestly don't care about).

Stiff is instant; no need to raise Expl Lvl to automatically gain 10% Critical. Plus some people find Stiff is easier to get, also with a bridge enchant.
At the same time, Lizard is more useful and more worry-free.

IMO, ego the Ring Bow and upgrade a Wing Bow if you can afford it and plan on using range a lot.
Although it's true that enchanted + upgraded weapons can blow out any ego with under level 35 stats. Bow egos are slightly different though, since they get much longer range and more damage than non-ego counter parts, at the sacrifice of critical. So you're getting two entirely different things when you compare bows, unlike with melee weapons or wands.

I already have an Ego LLB, and I'm at the point where I don't think I have enough money to afford a Wing Bow.
Really, I don't plan on really getting into an ego too much at this point, since I lack the resources to constantly feed and repair them.
I'm just looking to make a weapon that I can use constantly and not worry too much about.

if you want something that's far easier and cheaper to be blowing up with enchants, why not a 240-2 llb? 3 more max at the cost of -1 crit off the ring bow upgrade path you want.

I already have a 240-2 LLB. I'm thinking of switching to a Ring Bow for the knockdown on second hit.
(That and it looks nicer, but that's besides the point)
