Spear or Sword Lann?

  I've seen that Lann gets a new windmill type skill with the spears and that the spears are slow but powerful with high AoE.
  I'm more concerned with bossing (since mobs are really easy in this game) and swords look way better for that job.
  Does anyone have any insight about this topic?
  I'm leaning more towards sword but there's so much twin spear hype :|

  Well just consider this
  no slip dash as spear and no double crescent
  liberate appears to have a stamina refiller power
  and the boosts for it are no laughing matter

  Sword is better solo because you can't Slip/Nimble Dash or Double Crescent with Lance.
  
  Lances are more geared for party play because of its AoE/dmg nature. Both Sword and Lance have insignificant speed differences in my eyes.

  I didnt even know they had a speed diffrence
  The videos i had seen seemed that spears were about equal in speed

  If anything, spear is faster due to 3960 Hurricane

  Best bet is to keep current with both weapon types, and rank all the skills you use.

  Specializing might be smart though, considering Nexon will localize content faster than KR. We'll get uncaps faster, and we'll probably even get Rank 1 skills before you can think about branching into a different weapon in your arsenal. Unless you're an uber crazy grinder who stocks up 10k AP in the time that the average person gets about 2k :c

  To be honest, I've always favoured adaptability over specialization. In Mabinogi, I may not have the same dex that people who focus exclusively on range do, but I'm not crippled when facing a monster you can't range.
  
  In Vindi, I plan to be able to use swords for soloing as effectively as I can use spears for party-- even if I'll be a bit slower in each than more focused Lanns.

  Being OP as hell in one thing may beat being half and half, since a lot of skills give amazing bonuses in the later ranks, and especially R9.

  I typically rank things that DO give an added bonus apart from +stat or +damage to the rank that gives it, and prerequisite skills to where they need to be, but apart from that I plan to favour neither Swords nor Spears.

  If you're played OB, then you can only use swords, so you don't have much of a choice there :P Continue to using swords, and rank skills as needed for them as you won't even be able to save your AP for spears anyway, since we can only save 100 at a time ATM. Using swords allows for Double Crescent, which can activate gliding fury, which in return is a large damage dealer, which is good for bosses. Reason being because it uses the hit and run tactic, hit the bosses with DC, if it doesn't critical, run away and wait for opening to try again, then when it does critical, you use Gliding Fury for massive damage. Then, if Gliding Fury critical, you continue with Lightning Fury, and well, that just is beastly.
  
  Heres the jist of it, Swords finish Bosses faster, Spears finishes Mobs faster. If your looking for style though, go with spears. (I would like to also add that in KR, the current highest damaging weapon for Lann is a Dual Spears, and the are actually two of them, here is the easier one to obtain).

  Tail Piercing with Liberate could also be used for the exact same tactic.
  
  IMO, the main difference would be that Sword Lanns get Nimble Dash while Spear Lanns get Liberate. Spear Lanns have less evasion but have higher damage potential.

  Yah, but using Tail Piercing(Smash Button) is no where as effective in dodging as Slip Dash + Nimble Dash.
