After you all get one they'll make a new version and convince you to get that too. Like the 20 versions of the DS or PSP.
This is why it's not too good to buy things early and too late into the hype. Unless it proves to be an extremely solid product.

I'll give the 3DS about 4 months before I buy it.
Considered how freaking fast the first original DS got upped to DSlite.

Waaaaaant!
Lots of incredible titles for this, and you also get the whole DS library too.

Expecting $225-$250, after the profits Nintendo will get from selling in its home country.
At least it's on par with iPhone now. Just need a Skype app and it's all set. 3D, touch, gyroscope, etc.
The iPhone is crap for gaming though. The library of games that you would actually play more than once is extremely small.

It's only worth waiting if they make the buttons better. The DS Lite is worse than the original DS because the control pad is smaller and the buttons are mushier, IMO.

But it's less bulky and nice, IMO.

The original DS had problems with the screen being VERY fragile and easy to break.
The DSlite's problem was that the R button broke really easily. Most people complained about this first.
The DSi's problem is that its just a waste of money because its online features don't really benefit in any way at all.

DSi also has region-locking for specific titles.
DS Lite is ok, I own one and so far I don't have any problems with it. Just that I bought it a year before DSi was released which is pretty late into the lifespan of DS.
I can't say anything about DSi but I think it's a waste of money too. I don't see how a scaled-down camera can compare with the megapixel cameras phones of this generation come with.
