Quote from ANN:
Moritaka Mashiro and Akito Takagi are pretty much foils of each other. Mashiro, an average 9th grade student but talented artist, and Takagi, an overall advanced 9th grader and aspiring writer. After great convincing, Takagi convinces Mashiro to join him in becoming the greatest mangakas Japan has ever seen. Takagi, with his gift of writing, hopes to become a successful mangaka, and Mashiro, with his gift of art, hopes to marry the girl of his dreams, Azuki Miho.
Really, no one has made a Thread for this? Either that, or the search forum is a fail...

Hmm... I won't be watching the anime cause I don't really like knowing what happens when I already read it. Is the manga in hiastus or something, been a while since I last read this. Currently one of my favorites D:.

I don't think it's because it's on Hiatus, but because it's been licensed. Unless you're over in Japan and are reading it, then I don't know.

Oh man :<, but why wasn't One piece, Naruto, Bleach aren't licensed as well? Not like I want it to though, but since its also in jump... Well I could be wrong since I assume that its Jump that decides.
I am sad :<.

lol NHK, indeed there is quite a bit of irony.
Throughout the ENTIRE episode I couldn't stop noticing the big logo on the top right and thinking this.

O_O.
That was kinda awkward xD.
And, is mangareader updating Bakuman? At least I get to read a chapter I haven't read before.

I think it's because Bakuman is yet to be (or ever will be) a gigantic mainstream bandwagon series. One Piece, Naruto and Bleach are too popular, that even if they were to be licensed, people would undoubtedly scan and translation them onto site.
Bakuman is one of those series that's good and popular enough but not too much so that people would go out of their way to scan. (The mainstream series aren't any better, but they're too frickin' popular)

Ep1 felt kinda slow. Although I remember reading everything that happened in the manga for the episode. Though that was the only chapter I read. Lulz.

Actually disappointed by the animation.
I don't think it'll live up to its dramatic scenes well enough to really give off the proper feel.

Bah, nobody can really properly convey Obata's art. Deathnote's animation didn't do it justice either.
Thankfully, Bakuman is mostly comical drama and suspense, so the animation is somewhat passable.
