So, ever since i played mabi, ive had cravings for different ego's to try out. So far ive destroyed almost 10+ spirit weapons, and now i have a craving for a Combat Wand Ego. I plan to go into magic after my alchemy is at a decent point. The problem is, my current ego cost me around 2.5mill to get, during the time, it cost quite a bit, a Masamune.
Currently its only 47-106, with 18 social. Not that strong, but i havent had time to feed it, im not sure if males and females make a feeding difference, it feels like it in a way.
Its not just that the Masamune was cost worthy, my friend kinda likes it, and complains how much of the time i go through ego's, like mad. Because i havent found the perfect one. As of recent, the masamune is useless towards smash, because my smash is pretty low. So, when i need to windmill, i pull out my Masamune.
Ive heard, not sure if its true, that blaze makes spirit weapons hungrier faster? Not sure if its true, kinda feels like a lie in a way. So just feeding the wand at a mana tunnel with blaze every so often. Kinda seems cheap, but if you got money to waste, saying that acctually happens.
Im not sure what to do anymore with Ego's, might not have one altogether at my rate.
My past spirit weapons were
Female/Shortsword>Male/Twohander>Female/BlueMace>White LLB/Female>Purple LLB/Male>Red and White LL/Male> and currently a Masamune. I might have left out one or two, due to me forgetting.
Also; Hows blaze in useage with Wand Spirit weapons? Aswell as are the wands Metal Dyeable?

1) Think about what you do the most. IE: Do you raft, run SMs(what missions?), dungeon spam? etc.
2) What skillset do you use the most, and which works best at which you do most?
3) Will you be able to maintain this ego effectively, and will it compliment the skillset you use?
I don't believe wands are dyeable, and I believe blaze is affected by a wand's damage stat. How much, I do not know. I'm assuming it's insignificant as it is with other wand egos.

I've mostly been doing Holy Water Jobs, but i do run dungeons and shadow missions, and explore.
Im also currently Ranged and Alchemic, but i stopped with ranged, because the misses keep agitating me,
and we all know Cylinders cannot be made into a spirit weapon. My int is rather low, but in a few rebirths, i believe it could get to 200-300 easily. (I got like 40-45 int right now >>;) Aswell, my strength is around 120-140 base every RB.
I cant maintain my masamune as much right now, due to Nexon making all these events, making me want to waste my time. I barely make enough money to buy nx off people to rebirth every week, so feeding it is rare, but the holding blaze with a wand ego kinda piqued my interest.
People think id be stupid to destroy a Masamune spirit, however at the time i could repair it, and i was fine, now im worried about leaving it in my inventory with whatever low dura it has currently.

Spirit Weapons only get hungry by chance every 5 minutes (when durability decay by time occurs). Everything else is a lie.
In fact, Blaze doesn't even use durability iirc (haven't been using it in a long time).
The only thing ego wands are good for are basic magic (and perhaps party healing? though that's not considered advance magic anyways). The effectiveness of basic magic is pretty much near 0, so an ego wand is a bad choice in general. The only redeeming feature of an ego wand is the Awakening, but that alone doesn't make it worthwhile. Remember that only the melee portion of Blaze gets damage from the wand, and depending on your Int/Str, the melee hit can be as weak as 10% of total blaze damage.
Fire Wands may come in handy, but again Firebolt isn't that useful outside of certain areas. And a normal CC wand handles those pretty well (ie. Ballooning)

You need to just stop while your ahead. You're wasting time and money in your search for the spirit weapon that fits you like a glove. That's the kind of fit you won't feel unless you settle down.
As far as the combat wand is concerned, that's a horrible choice for a spirit weapon. I would compare it to egoing a dagger. The only decent spirit wand is the spirit fire wand.

Hmm, i guess your right, wands do look pretty bad. I just get these times where i want to make a new one.
Also, i thought about this along time ago, but i said nah, but how come you never see anyone with a Hatchet ego? It also doesnt have stats, yet it is egoable says the wiki. Whats up with that.

Spirit Ice Wand is pretty useful IMO. Total bonus damage for each chaincast can end up over 300, which is more than Firebolt since (afaik) wand damage is only applied once per attack. It also has the highest Crit out of any elemental wand, excluding Stiff Caliburn (but who would Caliburn a wand?), and not as wasteful as a Lightning Wand.
Though again, this only applies to bolt magic, which is weak regardless of ego/chaincast/whatever.

Wouldn't ice wand ego be good for ice crystals to make ice mines out of?

You can do it with just a damage upgraded crown ice wand.

It'd be worse since Wand Egos give near nothing to advanced magic. Plus they lose dura faster than a blessed wand and cost more to repair.

If your gonna kill it Id say go back to an llb. But if not get your smash up and it will be awesome. I have around the same str as you and with a base dsk I did 1.6k crit no trans at r1 smash. So imagine that with a ego masu. EPIK RIGHT?
