  @Finnea- People are just that way for whatever reason. I see nothing wrong with these scanners, unless they overstep their boundary.

  I guess you can call it that, but the way I see it, I'd rather not have to live in anarchy because conspiracy nuts revealed a little too much and the government slips and admits it. I like being able to walk down the streets and not have constantly worry about being mugged, shot, mugged for the bullet that was lodged in me, and then go to the hospital, only to find that it's been ransacked and I can't get any medical care at all. And if it means that the System is keeping tabs on everything I do, then so be it. Rather be relatively safe compared to always in danger, and I'm sure most people feel the same way. And if having machines that can recognize faces of kids so that it will be "easier" to keep tab on kids so they can get to class on time and know that they're still in danger should there be an emergency be the first step, then I see no wrong in it.
  
  As for the WM thread, yes, your first one was interesting. Did it deserve to be in the Mabi talk section, no, because it only opened up room for spam, spam and more spam. And your subsequent threads after that only turned your first interesting thread into nothing more than a complete joke, if it wasn't so in the first place, which is where the ridicule started. This is much more obvious when a good portion of those copycat threads you had to insert your WM's WMing you. So, just because you had one thread people found interesting and thought was a good topic, doesn't mean that they're all gold. :v
  
  Anyways, back on topic of the machines that are like Twitter, theoretically are amazing, but practically will turn into a joke.

  Anyway, I understand the point they are coming from. If they had this at my school or at any of the schools where children go that have 180 days, then it would encourage them to come and actually pass school. If they did not, then I still think it was good.

  My question is, wouldn't this bottleneck the gates since everybody needs to sign into a dumb computer? Think hundreds of students all having to get their face scanned, enter a 4-digit pin, read any messages from teachers, and then finally be able to get in for first period. I'm guessing the doors lock or something so that you can't enter until you sign in, like at toll booths.
  
  Plus, how does it know when people exit the building? Do they have to scan while they're leaving too?

  Schools will try all kinds of things to keep kids in them. There will always be those that will find ways to skip.
  
  My school had a good system. If you don't miss any days you don't have to go the last 2 1/2 days per semester. They were finals those days. If you just missed one day of a class, you just have to take that final. I never missed a day. :lol:
