I got dropped out for the second time, while a friend of mine, whose skill and journal are lower is still in. I had way over 60 point so it shouldnt be that? I remember that both time I was dropped out I was in the guild hall though, might the guild hall is bugged or something?
*Is pissed at Sinead*

I'm not sure but there are some rumours about skill sets being selected differently for each round.
Also, during that period of time your friend might have adjusted his skills to stay in the ranks? I don't know.

Nope, he was the one telling me how bs that I lost RA been since his skill are still lower than mine. Oh well I'll get it back next week like every week I lose RA. It's either that we need more than 65 point, either my guild hall theory, or some random mechanic of choosing like you said.
I'll miss that ~49 damage boost to water cannon but I can live without.

You have to look at the entire skill set and not just a few skills.
You might have like R1 for a couple of skills, but others might have a couple of R9 skills for the skills you left at RF.

Ah yeah sorry I wasn't clear about that haha. Basically all my alchemy skill are higher than his (For exemple: WC 1 vs WC 2, life drain 5 vs life drain F, etc). It's kinda weird how they choose RA, and how we don't have a way to know why we were dropped.
Actually I'm only comparing to one person since we went over our journal point and alchemy skill this morning to figure why I didnt keep it while he did.

What about alchemy skills that you do not have while he has rF?

I'm starting to think it's completely random?

Its probally selected randomly, to allow a variety of Royal Alchemists in; I've been in since week two of G11.
It probally also bases it on how many royal alchemist points you get each time. I believe some skills would be alot more point value then others, like Alchemy Mastery.
I'll just list my skills for the hell of it;
Rank 1 Water Cannon, Rank 2 Alchemy Mastery, Rank 4 Golem Summoning, Rank 5 Barrier Spikes, Rank 8 Mana Crystallization
Alchemy Mastery was raised with Water Cannon, with ranks my other friends had, the ranks were alot higher, when i had R5 WC, and Rank 9 AM, while they had 2 R1 Alchemy Skills, and RB Alchemy Mastery. They didnt get in while i did, So Mastery should be a higher value; in my opinion, im no expert.
But i think each weak, they expect a little more in each application, and if people dont step to their expectations, bai bai, and they let others in.
Im more or less just speculating, and probally failing horribly.

Alchemy Mastery 1 does not necessarily mean you will get in.
There were people with Alchemy Mastery B who beat me to the position (even though I had a number rank Alchemy Mastery) since they had a jumble of other skills.
I think a good skill mix is the key to getting the position or maintaining it.

Logically to prevent infinite holds the probably give some sort of a scoring method by rank (For examples lets say it works like skill CP and points is 1 per rank, so 15) They choose like, 3 skills
One with 100% and the other two at 50% being randomized so you'd have a max of 30 and that way someone can't R1 two skills with f everything, but this is just silly theorizing off how other aspects of this game and how it runs.
But I'm fairly sure it'd work like that, it could incorporate all skills but their value gets lowered, still though, theories...
If I could I'd test this out a lot more I could say something accurate, but I personally still find alchemy to be useless for me.

I'm tempted to test my theory about guild hall bug if I get RA next saturday. Which mean I wont be able to come back and affirm/deny until 2 week later. It's way too random that I lose it both week I was afking in the guild hall.
But you guys' theory seems good too but still wouldnt explain why my friend kept in when he has same journal point/lower rank in ALL alchemy skill. Haha

There is one other theory I have about the journal points, however it can't be for all cases too. Check which parts of the journals he beats you on.
The other thing is about points being lost for not logging in for more than two days. But if you are sure that you have 60 points at the time the selection is done then, this is nullified.
Also, as far as I know the royal alchemist points is just to indicate if you are working hard enough for the position so it doesn't matter how many points you get so long as you meet the minimum 60. There are people who get close to the max possible points but they don't get to retain the position.

Yeah I made sure I had over 60 before going to sleep yesterday, and I left mabi open while afking in my guild hall to get more point.
I'm curious about your theory on journal. I'd like to know more about it if you don't mind?
And apparently in g12 there's slight change to selection process so I wouldn't try to wonder too much about it to be honest haha. If I have Royal I have it, if I don't well I don't.
(Though...those + damage to water cannon are gonna be missed this week)

I suspect some sections of the journal are more important than other parts. Such as level achievements. During and before G12S2. However, alchemy skill ranks are still the strongest criteria.
As for changes in G12S2, all I know is that they added a whole bunch of dungeon achievements, which gave me a major boost in points.
