Let's see...
r1 Magnum Shot = 500% Ranged dmg on the target, 20% Ranged dmg on the other enemy if it's within 350 range of the target.
r1 Crash Shot = 100% Ranged dmg on the target, 150%~250% on the other enemy if it's within 700 range of the target. Finally, reflected fragment dmg for the initial target is 0.6*(150%~250%)*(1) which is 90%~150%, which when added with the initial damage is 190%~250%. Assume the max dmg roll on the calculations.
Magnum Shot pelted out 500% + 20% (or a total of 520%) Ranged dmg, while Crash Shot did 250% + 250% (or a total of 500%) Ranged dmg. Magnum Shot deals more dmg in this case. This is without Critical.
I dislike the way Magnum Shot's splash damage is listed on the wiki. It should state 50% and then 100% at r1 because the splash damage is calculated independently of the primary damage.
At rank 1, Crash Shot deals 100% damage to the initial target. The other targets (up to five) receive splash damage while the initial target receives fragmentation damage which is equal to 90-150% x target count.
When used against varying numbers of opponent's Crash Shot deals the following amounts of damage.
1 target: (100%)
2 targets: Initial (100%) + (180-300%), Splash (150-250%)
3 targets: Initial (100%) + (270-450%), Splash (150-250%)
4 targets: Initial (100%) + (360-600%), Splash (150-250%)
5 targets: Initial (100%) + (450-750%), Splash (150-250%)
6 targets: Initial (100%) + (540-900%), Splash (150-250%)
High-end ranged combat looks just like high-end melee combat come G12. Windmill, windmill, windmill becomes crash shot, crash shot, crash shot. Humans will use Arrow Revolver to clean up and magnum shot against single targets while elves will use ranged attack and magnum shot.
Crash Shot's splash damage
does not cause agro. Must I repeat this statement?
