What do you think about this? Can't wait for it or what? I'm very interested in customizing my character and I really want to know how the dye shop works, anyone know?

I'm excited about the Dye Shop and Character customization! From what I've read, I think dying equipment costs in-game gold and gives us 3 chances to dye the piece that we want. Character customization... I have no clue about =( I hope the undergarment and like... scars/tattoo changes aren't rentals D:

I think it was mentioned somewhere that underwear and hair have a 30-day limit =/

We also have the "avatar" thing, so I'm curious if it will work like DFO from Nexon, where you keep the avatars you buy, in which case this would be our under armor, and when we buy it, we can keep it and switch anytime from all the ones we have attained. I also saw that the cost for Customization was around 7,900 NX in KR, so I have a feeling it won't disappear after 30 days o_O I mean.. that's a little too much for nearly 8k NX, don't you think?

I seriously doubt they'd sell 30-day character customization options for THAT MUCH. If anything, the 7.9K avatars are premanent avatars and the 30-day avatars will be cheaper. Cuz if I have to pay $7.90 a month just to keep a consistent look, then I'm just not gonna buy them.

Dyeing costs 1/10 of the equipment value's price (in in-game gold). You get 3 chances of random dying per payment.

OH, I see. Hmm, I can totally see this draining my wallet like mad...

Well for 1/10th of the price, that doesn't sound so bad to me, considering this means we don't have to pay in life cash anymore. :2thumb:

Here's a good video on the dye system.
You see the person click the hat and torso piece and the gold price in the bottom right changes.
The hat was around 61k and the torso was around 63k (but these are expensive clothes).
This price was at 1/4 value, it is changed to 1/10th the value now.
You can see after the first dye job the text in the bottom of the box reads: [Blurry Korean] 2 [Blurry Korean].
After the second dye job it goes to: [Blurry Korean] 1 [Blurry Korean].
After the third dye job the person has to pay again.
So yeah, wallet killer.
Hopefully shop values won't be very high :T

The 30-day cosmetic items cost a lot because they give you increased drop rates. In fact the look is only secondary.
Normally you only get the chance of 1 white core from bosses, which usually contain better loot than black cores. With a cash shop hair and underwear, you get a guaranteed 2-3 white cores. That's a big deal.
I highly doubt they'll make any changes to this. It's Nexon. If they do make changes, it will be in their benefit, not ours.

Do they at least have permanent non-bonus ones that looks as good? If I have to pay monthly for my look like what Maple tried to do to me I just won't even bother getting into this game. Waited for OB+Evie to check it out but if right off the bat they want to mapleize clothing this game can gtfo.

I'd pay for permanent ones, but monthly.... f that.

I'm pretty sure that's not how it will work, only the event and limited type avatars in DFO have a timer on them, remember the Hero belt or w/e in vindictus? And, the avatars in DFO don't expire, at least the ones you can get from Shop.

I feel like there should be some more permanent CS undergarments and whatnot because I remember seeing in the char-gen videos some undergarments, tattoos, and hairstyles that had stars next to them. Those look like they might be premium creation permanent looks.
