Swords get slip dash so they can abuse the invincibility frames and dodge better than the Spear Lann who gets to use Liberate to have high stamina regen, but with nothing more than the roll to dodge with.

Not everybody's able to use a 0.23s invincibility frame, FYI.
With Liberate, I can be running constantly, which is a lot safer than Slip Dash, IMO.

Spears in this game are basically 2-sided lances cut in half. Lann swings them just like a sword (combos are still different of course) except during some moves you put the ends together to form a spear.

If you really want to be accurate about the description >_> Since many of them look like swords... It'd be better to say that they're Polearms with half of the shaft cut off which can be attached at the ends to form a twinblade of sorts >_>
