You're just unlucky.

But I wouldn't have risked enchanting on a 3/3 dura rare helmet, unless I was prepared to get a replacement for it.

I also question the probability rate of this game since that was at a 90% success rate. The only thing that has correct probability is the crit rate when having the 30% crit rate cap.

You fell into the 1 out of 10, that's all.
For that, it's called not being lucky.
90% is never 100%.
Enchanting is a gambling game.

I enchanted a Rank C 90% scroll on my blue shield, and it dropped 5 dura first time, dropped 1 dura second time. That was 2 fails for a Rank C scroll. That's what I call not being lucky. I don't blame the game or anything.

I am no expert with probability, but my observation with bean grinding (for magic tofu) is that the actual probability rate carries along some error of between + and - 10%.
What I speculate is that 90% can mean anything from 80%-100% success, depending on your luck.

You can always wear it, and be like me who repairs his items right when they lose a dura point. I'm not sure if enchants still work when the item has 0 dura though, but it still stays on your head until you die if it's got 0 dura left. Don't forget to bless to minimize dura loss. When a blacksmith finally puts it out of it's misery, you might as well burn it. :l
