Crit, at high-tier dungeons, is pointless until you get past a certain point.. basically anything under 50-75% = useless ;p
I guess it would be smarter to have a crit-FH set and a maxdmg-FH set.. yes?
The smart thing would be to have a set that has just the right balance so that it Crits in high-tier dungeons without going overboard and wasted potential +Damage upgrades.
I gave it a bit of thought and just ended up going with 175 God/Obs Daggers. With a full damage gear, plus Stiff Cap, I think my Crit is around 80-110 in trans.
-- Some rough calculations supporting Fast speed weapons --
Assuming around 200 Str (80 Base Max), around +50 from Enchants (kinda low) - a 175 Dagger is 35 Damage (165 total) and 35 Critical versus a 222 Broadsword 73 Damage (203 total) and 30 Critical.
Attack Speed:
Very Fast - 470ms
Fast - 535ms
Normal - 600ms
Slow - 800ms
Very Slow - 1000ms
Fast weapons hit roughly 1.5x as fast as Slow weapons.
165 x 1.5 = 247 for Daggers, 203 for Broadswords.
Stat boost from transformations will just add to base power, making Daggers
that much better. The only advantage you have with Slow weapons is that they stun longer, meaning you could bounce around instead of slaughtering one target - however it's pretty risky doing that since they can still retaliate if the stun isn't long enough. I haven't tried it since I don't even have a pair of Slow weapons. Though, Daggers are also penalized by defense more often and lose more durability.
