FYI, Platinum Tokens can be sold on the market place.
IIRC, they're sold for 40~50k ea, so a million gold is 20 more rounds or so

In all seriousness, Vindictus isn't even a true mmo. The leveling up system, the AP, the gold, the hunting, the market... all it feels like is a stand alone console game in which you can "link up" to people to form parties. This is truly a casual game, not a hard more mmo game.
Vindictus feels like Guild Wars meets Dynasty Warriors.

Worth it if means the dungeon nets good AP, exp, gold, and has a decent drop in it I suppose.
Silver ores plz.

It's massively multiplayer, and it's online. Sounds like a true MMO to me. Unless there are hidden qualifiers for 'true' MMOs and those that don't have them are 'false' MMOs.
Also, hard more vs. hard less vs. hard even more vs. hard not at all.

It's not 'Massive'.
There are hardly ever more than 50 people in each of the 200 channels
Dungeons are limited to 8 people.
It's more of a MORPG.

'Massive' simply denotes that hundreds, up to thousands of players may access the game simultaneously.

Well, thousands of players can play Tetris simultaneously. Does that make it an MMO?
Quote from Project director Lee Eun-Seok:
Currently, the high and low terrains and other surroundings won't have an impact on combat, but the development trend of MMOs is that all visible objects will produce an effect on characters. However, it is difficult to achieve such content with existing MMO technologies. Therefore, Vindictus(KR) has been developed in the form of MORPG. In addition, a MORPG costs less than a MMORPG.

No, because neither are you playing it online, nor are you playing the same game of Tetris. Each person's game of tetris is a different game.
Quote from Wiki:
A massively multiplayer online game (also called MMO) is a multiplayer video game which is capable of supporting hundreds or thousands of players simultaneously.

I agree with the ferret guy.
Everyone considers those shooting games to be MMO's (combat arms, soldier front, CoD), and you have only around 10ish people in a room.
You also have about 50ish people in the "channels" too.
Vindictus is just like that. sorta. maybe.

lol
Anyways, Vindictus sort of feels like Legend of Zelda because of the combat system and because of the near uselessness of money after all the gear is bought.

I just maintain around, say, 50k.
There isn't a point in farming for gold in this game.
Farm for something useful, like Copper Ore or Ice Crystals. ;3

Sure there is... crafting items is going to cost you a lot more than 50k and buying healing potions and campfires and repairing and such is going to end up costing quite a bit, not to mention when you need expensive mats that are hard to farm.

PandaSong wrote on 2010-10-24 23:26
Don't forget, Dyeing your armor will get more expensive as we gain new things as well. ;) So if you plan on getting the perfect color, money is a good thing. I know that I try to keep 500k on me at all times, simply because I know I'm going to want it to dye stuff. And to buy mats that I'm too lazy to farm myself.

1 Eternity Erg = 2k
2 Phoenix Feathers = 280
Crafting = 100
That's 2.3k per Party Feather...
I have 300+ ATM, and I'd bet you'd need a ton later on...
