Okay... As I understand it, once you delete a character it will remain unobtainable by anyone for 30 days, including yourself. At which time you, or anyone else, could use the name again.
So, my question is this:
Is it 30 days from the hour (as in 720 hours after deletion) or 30 days, triggered on the day (which judging from games played count reset is noon EST)?

Update... Apparently it isn't 30 days to the minute. But, I haven't figured out what it is yet because I still can't get the name I reserved.

Here's an update... It seems that it is 31 days. It wasn't at midnight on the 30th day however, and I just now checked today (an hour after 31 days ), so I assume it's 31 days on the hour.

Yeah, I second confirm that it is 31 days. I also figured out that it is an hour before you deleted your character. (If you deleted your character at 12:00pm, then you will be able to get the name at 11:00pm.)
What I did was delete my character's name on October 20th at 1:48pm and waited 31 days. Now on November 20th at 12:48pm I was able to get my name that I wanted. :)
Hated the wait though...

Unless the name has some kind of spiritual connection to you or whatever... I mean... blargh
