Hey guys, Zxavier here and I'm looking for people who are interested in playing a DnD game

I dont mind what age but I dont like people using racial slurs, even if you are of that race.

Someone who is polite, like if your character dies you won't fly off the handle and swear at everyone.

Also someone who is going to follow the rules of the game. Oh and minor note here, please dont try to convince
people to kill themselves. I know it's kinda funny when you can convince people to do it, but it's kinda rude.

Now this section is for DMs.

I may have a DM set up but I want someone as a back up. I'm looking for a slightly experienced DM.
Someone who has played for at least 3-6 monthes.
My requirements are:

Must be fair. If were all lvl 2 and you spawn a lvl 15 monster with +2 armor weapons and over the top stats, I'm going to have to pass on you.

You have to be up-to-date on the rules.

You must have a little leniency on newer players, and you also have to go with players back story and try to work with it.

I'm going to try to make this available on a program called Open RPG, and we're using an online dice roller. So some slight knowledge on that might be necessary.

And for DMs, please contact me via PM so I can set up an interview date over Skype or MSN.

And please, everyone else don't flame or troll this thread. I'm just trying to set up a game night for gamers. So if you wanna troll me, flood my PM box instead of this thread.

I might be interested, I've played a bit during highschool, being the DM of the school's DnD club. Of course, due to the lack of interest in the club, it died, but I can say that I enjoyed playing DnD. However, there's one thing about your requirements for DM that doesn't quite sit well with me:

As an experienced DM, and being friends with my first DM, I can tell you one thing: Being fair isn't what a DM is about. It's the DM's job to make the party's adventures a living hell. Sure, your example is something a DM shouldn't do, since level 2 is still fairly early in the game, and a good DM will want to lure the party into a sense of security by being friendly while they're starting out, but after having the party's levels being somewhere within the 8-10 range is when the DM should be having fun and torturing the party. And trust me, I understand where you're coming from, since no one wants to play if the DM is a complete ass, and I've played with a good number of douchey DMs, but like I said, after about level 8 is when the DM's gloves should have been thrown off and start teasing the party.

So what I'm saying is, if you're in desperate need for a DM, then I guess I might be able to oblige, but unless I'm continuing some other DM's campaign, what with my lacking ability to make my own campaigns, then it'll probably be better to find someone else other than me. And remember that I might not remember all the time and/or be willing to play, due to other things taking priority.

i only gave that example because i've been to a few places with dnd players and most DMs have the attitude of "want to see if you can survive in my world?" i just want the players to enjoy a gaming experience. Once we reach a good lvl then yeah feel free to challenge us, but what i dont like is when someone says "ok you just started you have everything set up let's go... you encounter 15 orcs survive and you can continue." i want people like myself to be eased into the game then have the difficulty rise gradually. So whenever you're available Pm me or add me via Msn and ill go into more detail on what im going to need of you as a DM. also if you happen to know anyone who wants to play feel free to invite them.
