My hard drive is around 5-6 years old. It hasn't made any clicking or whirring noises but the sound it makes when it's busy is louder. Processes seem slower like it can't handle more than two at a time. Is my hard drive dying and how long will it last?

Very hard to tell.
The noise might simply be because it's loose, tighten the screws for it in your computer and see if it stops.
Slowness might be due to needing a defrag, overall cleanup, or any number of things like spyware/virus or other evil things.
For now, try a general cleanup of any useless files. A virus scan. followed by a defrag.
After that tighten the screws on it in your PC case.
If it still makes noise and you can confirm it;s the hard drive, don't take chances and start backing up and go buy a new one.

I virus scan daily, and use ccleaner and defraggler monthly, so I don't think I problem in that department.
I'll try to open up my computer. Thanks for replying.
