There are certain things you can punch on the outside near each of the floating things. It looks like some kind of arch. When you punch it, it will tell you it can't break it. Then go over to the floating stone, and kill the monster. Repeat until all the arches are broken.

Then, go up to the stairs and press the tiny thing on top.

Yea, it is a very confusing mission. Hopefully my instructions isn't as confusing.
