I have a basic card, should I rebirth, or make a another giant for prof?

I have a basic card thanks to the half price deal, and I was wondering which route should I go. I going to need a idiot for proffing battle hammers and such and I can use another giant card. Or I can creep my self to the ever closing gap of 1k total, and use it for rebirth. Need an opinion. For those who said use it for rebirth then use the free rebirth given, I used it already, thought I could use it more than once. >.>
