Define elitists in your own words please.
People who believe they are superior to others because of any of several factors; those of which, including but not limited to: Being more intelligent than others, being better than others, being richer than others, and et cetera.
This is then reinforced by expecting such high standards of others and any who cannot meet such standards be deemed unworthy of interaction and not associated with.
It is, the general idea that the group one associates with is less incompetent and more useful than the rest of society. The group feeling that they, or their ideology, is superior to all others.
These factors and many others contribute to being Elitist and contributing to Elitism. I trust this definition is sufficient to your request?
I also noticed that you guys have about 15 members, how many of those are alts and do you guys party together often?

We party together when it is to our advantage to do so or when it is convenient. If it's more convenient, due to logging on at different times, to simply do our own thing, then we do that instead. We don't break our backs to do it. We do talk to each other though, regardless. And we always hang out together in Channel 69.
I am assuming everyone has a max-lvl character as well? Looking for a new guild as the guild I leveled to 38 with has suddenly gone inactive, I don't even think they get on to do daily ap anymore. Well some do, but some don't. Almost everyone was absent during free boat rides, which was a free 120-140 ap.
Most are (I'm not so sure about the newer Members *). Everyone pretty much logs on at the very least to do their dailies and use their most efficient token plan for their schedule.
Is your core group from another game you guys played together with?
As for playing other games with the core group, out of them I have played Guild Wars with Ilya for 5+ years. We're top 10 GvGers, and our HA ranks are pretty impressive as well. Myself: r11, r10, r9, r9, r9, r9. Him, r12 nearly 13.
The other Admins, I met all of them on Vindictus and made friends with them. I was friends with them long before I made the guild. They're all very good players and quite intelligent.
I joined one guild and it didn't work out for various reasons and so we decided together we'd make our own guild that didn't have those things we didn't like in the others. Thus, our guild was born. All the Admins and myself, we're all pretty close at this point. Fun group of guys.
I do believe myself to be a competent and capable leader, as well as more than capable of all facets required of a leader of an online guild, such as being able to make a forum that doesn't blow. With my PvP experience from other games, I have a more than sufficient array of strategies and ideologies that carry over to this or any other game. That, in itself, gives us a clear advantage over others who do not have that knowledge and experience, regardless if it is from other games. It's a clear mindset that those who have done it will have and those that have not will not. Good players will generally always be good, regardless of what game they're playing.
That and they tend to recruit randoms without much screening, which is kind of meh to me.
Hm... Well, we'd decided in the beginning we wouldn't do that because of our no noobs and no idiots elitism idiology. Lately though, we do need members. So, we've been accepting those that apply and seeing how they do. If they come off as stupid or bad then they're kicked immediately. All of the Admins and myself know this. It hasn't been a problem so far, and I generally try to talk to all new members as soon as possible to get a firm grasp on whether they're competent and mentally capable or not.
The newer members*, I'm not sure if they're up to par or not. They'll be kicked quite promptly if it's discovered otherwise, I can assure you of that.
We generally try to recruit after having played with and talked to people rather than just taking randoms however.
Thats all the questions I have, thanks.
Pretty much looking for a guild to stick to and go all the way, I don't like changing guilds much, but current one is not a good fit and I always prefer smaller and tighter guilds.
Thanks for your interest.
